The Winner creak trail is one of my favorite hikes in Girdwood.  It is an easy, well maintained trail that weaves 3 miles through America’s northernmost rain forest.  This hike offers a lot more than just your standard walk through the woods.  Not only is it abundant with beautiful scenery, but there are boardwalks, a bridge over Winner Creek Gorge where you can take side trails down to the waters edge, a little farther down the trail you’ll come to the super exciting hand tram that you use to cross over Glacier Creek, which is more than a hundred feet below.  There are plenty of photo opportunities and resting spots along the way where you can sit and take in the views and fresh air.  I highly recommend this hike if you ever find yourself in the Anchorage vicinity.

My family and I went on a hike with AOA.  They were super fun and accommodating for everyone!  Our ages ranged from 18 months – 55 and everyone had a great time!

My wife and I had a wonderful hike with Jonas and Celeste along a gorgeous trail near Anchorage.  These guys were great, fun tour guides, pointing out interesting factoids first along the spectacular drive there and then as we headed down the relatively easy trail along a rocky gorge, over a bridge with sparkling, rushing water.  We ended up at the hand tram over the Glacier Creek – super fun!  We relaxed on the other side and had a nice lunch.  These guys are great company, very knowledgeable, and also made us feel totally safe and taken care of.  Highly recommended!
